Should someone's misfortune - really give me inspiration?

Should someone's misfortune really give me inspiration?

A good friend, though we have never met (an internet friend) recently faced one of the worst situations a working person can face. She was fired. FIRED! Imagine that - a hard working, always giving extra effort, team player, compassionate, doing everything as right as reasonably possible was fired.

Having been there myself; totally surprised about being FIRED - by a first class jerk. Her situation brought back memories.... Totally astounded when they were WRONG..Struggling to carry my personal stuff home they had packed while was being fired.........walked out the back door like a criminal.......walking a few miles to the train station in heels and looking like a bag lady......ouch. Crying.....money...... what to do???

So the question is, is it right for me to be inspired to write a story about misfortune?

Story coming soon....

It's the beginning.....

I love to write. Never was passionate about it like other writers I have heard describe their style. I took a few classes in college which required screenwriters. Love it! Sadly haven't written anything since (a couple years).

Where's that drive I need to get me going? Do I really need a teacher to tell me to write a story, it's contents.... NOOOOO I don't. I'm 43, I can do this myself. lol Really I can.

I think that life certainly impacts one's potential in using their imagination. Creating an exciting, fun, appealing story - well how can you do that when you have to get your bosses coffee? Running all day, tires you out. These are also excuses - I can write all kinds of excuses. lol

So it's the beginning..... of nudging my imagination toward spinning a story - preferable romance. None in my life, but read a ton of them.

Would love to hear from you.
